Angelus 

In abundance, people experience a lot of anxiety.
Should he accept this?
He senses a constriction in himself
and changes his behavior.

An angel must have guided him.
His happiness is denied him.
He sensed this in himself
and thus promised Fortuna.

He has done something of value for her.
He has not broken with himself
and so he accepts fate,

Lust has been like greed.

Angelus

Im Überfluss erfährt der Mensch manche Beklemmung.
Soll er das hinnehmen?
Er spürt bei sich eine Verengung
und ändert sein Benehmen.

Da hat ihn wohl ein Engel geführt.
Sein Glück bleibt ihm versagt.
Das hat er so an sich gespürt
und somit Fortuna zugesagt.

Damit hat er ihr entsprochen.
Eine Sache von Wert hat er für sie getan.
Mit sich selbst hat er nicht gebrochen
und so nimmt er das Schicksal an,

Die Wollust ist wie eine Gier gewesen.

und macht es darum wahr.

Das hat er alles so gelassen,
ist gegangen und entschwunden.
Er kann es selbst erfassen.
